The XL Pro Replaceable Cartridge, introduced in April 2007, features 175 tiny files work to massage more skin area at once and also prolong the life of each blade compared to the orb or paddle style Foot Files. It pops into and out of the curved, extended reach handle. See diagrams showing how to remove and replace each cartridge.
